First book of Peruvian Cuisine translated into mandarin

In the last few years, Peruvian cuisine has become popular. Chef like Gaston Acurio has made our cuisine known around the world. Nowadays, our cuisine is known due to its flavors, diversity and shades that make it unique. In order to spread our cuisine, a book of Peruvian cuisine has been translated into mandarin.

The book of Peruvian Cuisine is called “History, Anecdotes and some Recipes of Peruvian Cuisine”. It is the first one to be translated into mandarin. Berit Knusden is the author of the book and she has announced that it will be translated into Russian and Arabic. The book has been presented by Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the Embassy of Peru in China.

“As part of our history, Peruvians recognize the great contributions of Chinese immigrants, who arrived in Peru in 1849. Bringing with them new ingredients, cook techniques and an endless source of inspiration” is written on the first page of the book.

Finally, Zhao Wuyi, the Chinese Ambassador in our country, said that our cuisine possesses an incredible mixture. However, it needs to be spread in his country to become popular.
